Thanks for dropping in. My name is Mychal (pronounced Michael) Scott. And yes, I’ve heard more The Office jokes than you can possibly imagine. And the creative field is such a small world, as fate would have it, my first job in television was working directly with the First AD of the sitcom, Rusty Mahmood.

In 2018, my professional career began as an ill-advised journey into scrappy filmmaking, with a meager budget of $1,300. That small investment has since turned into a lifelong commitment to the storytelling craft. In 2020, I got my first professional set experience working on various commercials and music videos before landing in television. From there, I swiftly worked my way up the ranks into unionized labor in the transportation department. It was as a member of the Hollywood Teamsters union that I was able to scale my freelance production capabilities, producing government communications at the local, state and federal levels.

Now, with a whole lot of hustle and a pretty incredible lucky streak, I’m working with the incredible minds here at BBDO LA, making the impossible happen day-in and day-out. When I’m not managing pressure cooking timelines, I live a pretty simple life You’ll find me out exploring a new hiking trail, trying a new recipe at the crib, watching a psychological thriller or crime drama, or just out catching a vibe with friends and loved ones… ‘cause at the end of the day I’m just a kid from Memphis living in LA.
